In the second half of our meetings we have a table topics slot where the topicsmaster for the week invites members (and visitors if they’d like to join in) to try some impromptu speaking. Speak for minimum one minute, maximum 2.5 – and you only get to know what you’ll be talking about a few seconds before you get up! Nerve wracking but brilliant practice for occasions where you might be put on the spot either at work or in social situations.
In our meeting last night, Michelle was Topicsmaster and got us doing David Attenborough style wildlife commentaries (or to be honest a fairly vague approximation). She even gave us some props. Great fun!
